Installation and working principle of serpentine spring coupling

The materials are mainly cast steel and 45# steel; the connection forms include keyway connection, set screw connection, clamping connection, or a combination of the two forms. If radial installation is required, it can be made into a flange type to transmit power through the extrusion between the convex claw and the elastic ring, and the relative offset of the two shafts can be compensated by the elastic deformation of the elastic ring to realize vibration reduction and buffering. There are many types of keyway type, clamping type, extended type, flange type, etc. to choose from.

    The plum-blossom coupling for pulverized coal mill is a flexible coupling with different structures and performances to compensate for the relative offset of the two shafts, damping and buffering functions through the elastic deformation of the metal elements.

    The temperature of the oil filling point of the serpentine spring coupling is greater than or equal to 150 ℃, which can resist the action of centrifugal force, and has good separation stability, no impurities, and no corrosion of carbon steel and nitrile rubber. Lithium-based grease is better. Adequate grease is very important for the operation of the serpentine spring coupling, and it is recommended to check it once a year. Use a dry grease gun to inject grease until excess grease spills out of the hole.

    Since the serpentine spring coupling is in point contact with the tooth arc surface, the coupling can obtain greater flexibility. It can be installed under the condition of radial, angular and axial deviation at the same time. When installing, mainly follow the following methods:

(1) Correction of the gap and angular deviation between the two-lobed couplings. When installing, measure the gap between the two-lobed Lingsi serpentine spring couplings every 90°.

(2) Correction of radial deviation. Place a ruler on the two-lobe coupling, measure every 90°, and check with a ruler, and the radial deviation does not exceed 0.38mm.
